What are we all about?
Exeter University Dog Walkers provides the opportunity for University of Exeter students to give back to the community by walking dogs for members of the city who are unable to walk their dog due to illness or injury.
We aim to provide a mutually beneficial and enjoyable experience for both volunteers and owners.
Our volunteers will pick up the dogs from owners at an agreed upon time each week during term (frequency is subject to individual needs and availability). All of our volunteers walk in pairs and have had sufficient training and DBS checks.
We welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes, fitness and fluffiness!

Who are we?
Exeter Student Dog Walkers was founded by Sophie and George. We are two third year students at the University of Exeter who own and love dogs and want to make a difference in our local community. We were roomates in our first year and bonded over our mutual love of dogs! We have remained friends ever since, and when discussing how we wanted to make a difference in our final year at University, and how we both missed walking our dogs, we came up with the idea for this project. We hope to benefit both students and members of the community, with volunteers helping owners to keep their dogs active and healthy, whilst enjoying some much-needed doggy therapy!
Special thanks goes to our Media Co-ordinator Richard Maccaw for his fantastic work designing our logo and social media sites!
Since George and Sophie left university, Dog Walkers has continued to grow as a well loved and successful project. Taking the project even further in 2016/2017 will be 3 new project leaders;
Abigail Inch, Emily Weaver & Alex Haines
