On Sunday 22nd February, Anna Heane and myself made the short journey over the river to do our first dog walk with Exeter University Dog Walkers! Despite the heavy rain, it wasn't able to dampen our spirits, and Anna, not having owned her own dog before, was bouncing with excitement! We arrived at the door to be greeted by what can only be described as a literal pack of dogs of all breeds and sizes, and briefly met the dogs we were going to be walking. Anna took the lively dogs Aston (Papillon) and Porsha (Chihuahua), whilst I took Fortuna, a Romanian rescue dog who had a fairly troubling past, and so was a little more shy. However, once we got out walking, all the dogs had a great time, and in no time Anna could be seen running around the park exercising the dogs, whilst Fortuna and I had a nice little cuddle and slower walk!

It was a really rewarding experience walking dogs that would potentially not get walked without Exeter Dog Walkers. It was especially nice to be able to walk Fortuna, knowing that she could have ended up in a far worse place, but is instead in a nice home and getting the attention and care she deserves! Anna and I can't wait until our next walk this coming Sunday!
